From an early age, an undercurrent of awe pervaded much of Ashley’s experience. Raised in relative isolation and homeschooled from an early age, Ashley constructed a worldview in reverence of the relational complexity inherent in the coastal and forest ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest.
Identifying as a Techno Agrarian, Ashley weaves novel technologies into grounded works of art in an attempt to articulate the ineffable. Ashley uses the latest tattoo technology, digital drawing surfaces, projection-mapped light, sculpture, and mural, to bring his works of art to life.
